What’s been happening:

My father, George R. Bubash, was a 1948 graduate of Penn State. He passed away on his 82nd birthday, Sept. 30, 2003. He achieved national recognition as a microbiologist during a distinguished 28-year career on the Penn State faculty in the department of veterinary science. From 1948-1950, he was a research assistant to Dr. Jonas E. Salk in polio research at the University of Pittsburgh, where he isolated two polio strains. He holds five U.S. patents and is listed in the 14th and 15th editions of "Who's Who in the East." His original polio research papers and artifacts were donated to Penn State by the family, where they are permanently displayed on campus in the Freer Building.
